Support Sonny House

The Sonny House Job Skills Programs works to teach real-world job skills to high school students with cognitive disabilities.  

This program also promotes literacy, self-advocacy and independence as they transition from high school to volunteerism and/or employment by communicating effectively in their respective communities.  

The Sonny House accomplishes this goal by demonstrating entry-level job skills, giving step-by-step directions, and ample time to practice the skills working towards mastery. 

Donations are vital for teaching high school special needs students real-world job and life skills because they enable the provision of tailored resources, specialized training materials, and personalized support systems.

These contributions facilitate the development of innovative programs, workshops, and mentorship opportunities designed to meet the unique needs of each student, fostering their independence, confidence, and success in navigating the complexities of the workforce and daily life.

By investing in these initiatives, donors directly empower these students to unlock their full potential, break down societal barriers, and contribute meaningfully to their communities, fostering a more inclusive and equitable society for all.
