The Sonny House Job Skills Prep Program is a program that teaches real-world job skills to high school students with severe cognitive disabilities.
This program also promotes literacy, self-advocacy and independence as they transition from high school to volunteerism and employment by communicating effectively in their respective communities and establishing a better quality of life.
The Sonny House accomplishes this goal by demonstrating entry-level job skills, giving step-by-step directions, and ample opportunity to practice the skills in order to prepare them for employment and independent living.

The Sonny House Job Skills Program was started in 2014 by LeAnn Holden-Martin. Holden-Martin believes that all students can become productive citizens in their community in their own way. The Sonny House provides opportunities for students to learn real-world job skills.
By doing this, students gain a positive self-worth, believing in themselves, and becoming their own self advocate.
